Role Description:

The role you are applying for is an Executive position focused on Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Shaping the Sustainability roadmap of the company, involving and coordinating with all key functions.
  • Implementing environmental sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensuring environmental legal compliance, including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

Company Information:

The role is with a company that is one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of plastic packaging solutions in India. “JointValues” is acting as a hiring process facilitator as part of comprehensive consultancy services to the company for building a sustainability roadmap and ESG strategy, with hands-on support in executing the strategy.

Location:

The role is an on-site position located in an industrial area near Ahmedabad.

Desired Competencies:

  • Minimum (completed) Master’s degree in Environmental Science or B.Tech in Environmental Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards, specifically BRSR (Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting), and environmental regulations in India.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role is preferable.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Soft skills for building friendly relations with people and collaborating in a new environment to form teams and drive initiatives.
  • An orientation to understand the requirements of peers or senior colleagues and execute the decided agenda effectively without constant supervision.

Preference:

Preference is given to candidates with:

  • Certified skills training and demonstrated experience in Sustainability Reporting.
  • Any certified training on the EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) system and experience with compliance requirements in India.
